Cascadia Con is the 8th North American Science Fiction Convention (NASFiC) in 30 years. A NASFiC is only held when the Worldcon for that year is outside of North America. In 2005 the Worldcon will be in Scotland and Seattle will host the NASFiC. Cascadia Con will be host to a number of Japanese cultural events such as; a Japanese tea ceremony, Martial Arts Demos, Anime Music Dance and Anime Music Video, 24 hour viewing rooms, panels exploring the history of SF in Japan, Current Japanese Pop Culture items, and current trends in Anime style games and gaming. Cascadia Con is a 100% volunteer run organization and a fully qualified 501c3 company.
