News for JapanFest Atlanta 2008:

JapanFest Atlanta adds anime programming

Japan Fest, Georgia's Japanese cultural festival, will be opening up in 2008 with its first ever anime programming. There will be an anime screenings handled by Atlanime, a Georgia-based anime fanclub, as well as trivia contests, fan panels, and more. The festival is set for Sep. 27-28 at the Gwinnett Center Convention Center in Duluth, Georgia. For more info, see http://www.japanfest.org.

About Japan Fest: A festival celebrating Japanese history and culture, which is run by The Japan-America Society Of Georgia, The Japanese Chamber Of Commerce Of Georgia, and the Consultate General Of Japan. Japan Fest features art classes, martial arts exhibitions, imported goods, and more.

About Atlanime: An anime fanclub based out of Atlanta, GA., with branches in Dekalb and Gwinnett counties. For over 6 years, Atlanime has held a 100+ roster of local otaku who gather monthly to see the latest in anime, and take part in local fan events.
