FanimeCon 2008 Announces Richard Waugh as Guest of Honor
San Jose, CA (January 12, 2008) – FanimeCon is proud to announce Richard Waugh as onne of the Guests of Honor for this year's FanimeCon 2008.
A prolific actor in both the United States and Canada, Richard Waugh has performed across a multitude of scenes, ranging from stage productions to film and television to video games and even radio. On television, he was among the repertory cast of A&E's series A Nero Wolf Mystery, F/X: The Series RoboCop the Series, and The West Wing. Mr. Waugh was also a co-writer for and played the title role of the Gemini Nominated cult hit Jimmy MacDonald's Canada, a 2005 comedy mockumentary.
Gamers will recognize Mr. Waugh as the voice of Albert Wesker in the Resident Evil (or "Bio Hazard") series. He has also lent his voice throughout Capcom's Resident Evil. Considered among the top voice actors in Canadian advertising, he still maintains his television and stage careers.
Mr. Waugh currently resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with his wife, actress Sarah Orenstien, their two boys, and a turtle named Squirtle.
