Matsuricon finalizes guest list for 2011

COlumbus, OH (June 8, 2011) - Matsuricon Finalizes Guest List for 2011, Includes "Mass Effect's" Jennifer Hale

Matsuricon is proud to announce that they have finalized their 2011 guest with two returning guests, a webcomic artist, a pokemon trainer, and a hard-nosed space marine commander.

Dark and determined Commander Shepard from Mass Effect 1 and 2, ever hopeful and shining Cinderella, psychotic Princess Morebucks and sunny Ms Keane from The Powerpuff Girls, sleek and sexy Naomi Hunter from the Metal Gear Series, superspy Sam and superspoiled Mandy from 'Totally Spies', and super fighter Aayla Secura from Star Wars Clone Wars all have one thing in common. Their spirits and their voices spring from the heart of Jennifer Hale. Jennifer has brought to life a wild range of characters from a disgruntled 12 year old boy, to a timeless heroic princess, a quirky ancient alien, a ridiculously perky tour guide, a rock star, a shy four year old and a sizzling super-bad girl. At the top of her field in animation, commercials, and promos, Jennifer is responsible for these and many more memorable characters as well as lending her signature voice to many products and programs familiar to all of us. A singer as well as an actress, Jennifer is currently working on her first solo CD.

Veronica Taylor has been a part of Saturday morning cartoons for some time now. She is probably best known for playing the voice of Ash and May on "Pokemon", April on "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and Abby on "Cubix". Currently, she can be heard as Max on "Dinosaur King", Carly on "Yu-Gi-Oh!5D's", many characters with accents on "Huntik", and as Tori in the upcoming "Tai Chi Chasers". She can be heard on PBS kids' Word World (Sheep), Lunch Lab (Mixiebot), and the recently launched "Chuck Vanderchuck's 'something something' Explosion!" (Ramona). Other anime favorites include Yukino on "His and Hers Circumstances, Amelia on "Slayers", all 7 Nana's on "Nana Seven of Seven", and Narue on "World of Narue", as well as many others. She has done numerous voices for animation, video games, audiobooks, commercials, and documentaries.

James Hatton is the creator of the minimalist mythological extravaganza known as In His Likeness ( Featuring God, the Devil, Poseidon, and a slew of other characters, it is a pop culture feast for the senses. James can also be found writing movie reviews of bad horror flicks at S-FLIX.COM and hosting Burlesque shows with Cosplay Burlesque at east coast conventions. When not schlepping his comic brilliance from state to state, he can be found watching horrendous movies and playing Minecraft with his wife and cats.

Stephanie Young is thrilled to be working with Funimation and Okratron 5000 as a voice actress and singer. Her voice acting credits include the lead role in the highly anticipated Claymore portraying "Clare", "Nico Robin" in One Piece (new dub with Funimation), "Junko" in Desert Punk, "Elfriede" in Moonphase, "Mana" in Negima, "Miranda Maverick" in Solty Rei, "Sophia" in Aquarion, "Kagero" in Basilisk, "Sasha Jobson" in Blassreiter, "Lecty Leque" in Heroic Age, "Flanca" in Gunslinger Girl, "Oruha" in Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, "Nora" in Witchblade, "Echidna Parass" in Black Cat, "Nanako" in Crayon Shin-chan, "B.B." in Glass Fleet, "Yuuri Kitajima" in Dragonaut, "Jane" in Grappler Baki Maximum Tournament, "Yahagi" in Mushi-shi, "Female Rogue" in Ragnarok, "Dr. Kozuki" in Rumbling Hearts, "Itoko Osakabe" in School Rumble, "Mireille" in Trinity Blood, "Aki Abe" in Hell Girl, "Reika Tachibana" in Balder Force Exe Resolution, "Xavier Tatum" in Shuffle, "Mrs. Tomita" in Kodocha, "Hanahana" in XXXholic, and "Shika" in Samurai 7. Her game credits include "Fiona" in Spike Out and "Selket" in Unreal Championship II, The Liandri Conflict. Stephanie can also be heard singing theme songs for Dragon Ball GT, Negima, and Tsubasa. With Illumitoon, Stephanie recorded "Paf Shining" in AM Drive and "Karen" in B'tx. As a singer/songwriter, Stephanie enjoys lending her signature, soulful vocals to the Dallas-based pop/jazz band, The Brehms ( Stephanie is represented by The Horne Agency and CN Bookings.

David L. Brehm is the President, Co-founder, and Creative Director for Blue Logic., a digital production company that produces online and theatrical media properties for clients ranging from Nickelodeon to the Dallas Cowboys. David's 2D and 3D animator credits include several major film and TV properties such as Jimmy Neutron, Olive The Other Reindeer, The Ant Bully, and BOZ. David's live action directorial credits include A Noble Way, Balaam Gimble's Gumption, and Scout Six. Beyond working as a producer and director, David's responsibilities include scriptwriting, cinematography, character design, and scoring. He also teaches part time as an instructor at the Art Institute of Dallas and Texas A&M Commerce. He studied Jazz guitar at the University of North Texas and currently he and his wife (Stephanie Young Brehm) compose original music for THE BREHMS, a 6 piece jazz-pop band.

Matsuricon's 2011 guest list also includes voice actors Brittney Karbowski, Cherami Leigh, Clarine Harp, Micah Solusod, Scott Freeman, Brina Palencia, Ian Sinclair, Sonny Strait, Eric Vale, Kyle Hebert, Chris Cason, and Eric Stuart, along with producer Kevin McKeever, internet celeberty Doug "The Nostalgia Critic" Walker, and artists Joe Kovell and Alex Kolesar (creators of No Need for Bushido), Mindy Timpone, and Kevin Bolk.

Our online Pre-Registration is up and running! Attendees can purchase passes at the $30 pre-registration rate or take advantage of the group discount, which is $25 per pass for 10 passes. All ten passes must be purchased at the same time. Hurry though, our pre-registration rate ends August 1st!
