Biography:
Francesco Giuseppe Manna is an Italian comic book artist best known for his work on the ongoing "The Rise of Ultraman" series at Marvel. Since childhood, Francesco has been passionate about the world of comics and quickly parlayed that into a career. He graduated from the International Comics School in Rome in 2011 and broke into the industry with Avatar Press and Zenoscope the following year. In 2014, Francesco began work with Dynamite on "Army of Darkness", "Vampirella", "Sword of Sorrow", "Dejah Thoris" and Top Cow's "Witchblade." His next project would come at the French publisher Glénat on "Cimitier des Ames" written by Eric Corbeyran. In 2017, he took the largest step of his career and joined the Marvel Comics family. His debut book was "Old Man Logan" written by Ed Brisson. Over the last few years, Francesco has worked on such Marvel comics as "Cloak and Dagger", "Journey into Unknown Worlds", "Bizzarre Adventure", "Champions", "Cable and Deadpool", "The Prodigal Sun" Trilogy and "Tony Stark: Iron Man." In 2019 and 2020, Francesco took the next step in his tenure at Marvel working on such flagship titles as "The Amazing Spiderman ", "Avengers", "Captain Marvel" and "The Fantastic Four" before taking on the passion project of rebooting Ultraman for a Western audience. With Kyle Higgins and Mat Groom, Francesco hopes to keep this legendary Japanese character alive inside the world of comics with "The Rise of Ultraman".
