UbersCosplay
Cosplayer
Florida
Biography:
When it comes to "bigger is better" costumes, few do it as UbersCosplay does! Since 2011, Uberscosplay has built an army of mecha ranging from the classic RX-78 Gundam to the massive Alt-Eisen. With each costume he strives to build experience with new techniques and materials. While he uses a variety of materials, his Mecha suits are primarily made from PVC sheets, a weapon of choice for a smoother and cleaner look. He is a strong believer that one should never sacrifice the cleanliness and details for the sake of size alone.
Never content to stay idle, lately he dabbles in everything from vinyl decals and pastel weathering to complex electronics like motion activated sound and lighting effects. His costume projects have also branched out to even more outlandish designs - most recently a pair of scale go-kart cosplay tanks.
Over the years Uberscosplay has won 7 "Best in Show" awards, the "Best Armor" award at the inaugural 2016 CosplayGen Awards in Switzerland and nearly a dozen other major awards at various shows all over the United States. His work has been featured in magazines and numerous websites as well as the Morikami Museum in Del Ray Florida.
