Hero Hiroka
Dancer / Choreographer
Hollywood, CA
Biography:
Hero Hiroka is a Japanese professional dancer and choreographer. As a kid, she loved the arts but was a bit shy. She was inspired by the beauty of nature, and her limitations only added fuel to her burning passion for arts. Hero Hiroka left her hometown to follow her dream to become a professional dancer after graduating high school. She not only enjoys art, painting, and poetry, but also loves singing, dancing, and listening to music.
When excelling in all areas while going through dance training in Tokyo, she started watching Soul Train. This dance show was the perfect piece for her as she would watch the DVDs until being able to dance all the moves. Her influences includes Hip Hop, Locking, Punking, Popping, African, House, and Dancehall. She continues to learn each and every day. She visited different cities in Japan to learn about the different dance styles and communities.
Hero Hiroka's crew in MTV's America's Best Dance Crew, WE ARE HEROES, won in the finals being the first (and only) female-only group. She was the choreographer for all of the dance routines for the group. She now has her own company named HEROHIROKA and has also appeared in commercials or in music videos such as Justin Bieber's or Sean Paul's. While she actively creates new dance routines, she is also active in volunteering the community. Hero Hiroka is an international ambassador who connect eastern and western cultures through her passion as an artist.
