Games by Play Date is a Manchester, NH centered game design company. Their aim is to produce board games and card games through rapid prototyping and an open source development model. Their journey from idea to business and from game concept to delivery is, often literally, an open book. Regular board meetings are held and broadcast online. Their design documents are open to the public and the audience is encouraged to communicate their ideas, concerns and criticisms to them. They feel that dialogue, quick revisions and aggressive playtesting will develop far better games than any length of armchair designing can accomplish. Games by Play Date's founders are Glenn Given, Meghan McGinley and Daniel Brian.
