Biography:
Bob Pendarvis created and taught the first comics and animation illustration classes at the Savannah College of Art and Design, going on to create the country's first full BFA and MFA Sequential Art degree programs.
His former students include successful comics, gaming and animation artists like Brad Walker, Andrew Robinson, Heidi Arnhold, Amanda Coronado, NEN, Sam Ellis, Phil Craven, Megan Levens, Jacen Burrows, Doug Alexander, Tom Feister and Tracy Yardley.
Bob's published work includes co-writing and editing NBM's The Bristol Board Jungle. He's currently hard at work on a sequel to A Girl Called Ana Teaches Kittens How to Draw (twice showcased on USATODAY).
Pendarvis is the curator of an upcoming exhibition of sequential art at the Glynn Visual Arts Center on St. Simons Island, Ga. The show will feature a dozen selections of Bob's own art, as well as a wide variety of work from many of his former students working as comic artist, concept designers and animators.
