Biography:
Mario is a vocalist, actor, emcee, and producer specializing in nerd culture content creation. His training includes acting training at New York's LEE STRASBERG THEATER AND FILM INSTITUTE, voice-over training at EDGE STUDIOS NYC, private voice coaching at THE NEW YORK CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC, and years of youth/amateur theater.
He has appeared on ANIME NEWS NETWORK in their 2007-2008 news webisodes, as a host for FREDERATOR NETWORKS' Youtube gaming channel THE LEADERBOARD (as well as the animation-focused CHANNEL FREDERATOR), and served as a reviewer/presenter for toy blog TTPM. His video production/appearance credits include his 2005 fan film FINAL FANTASY VS KAIJU BIG BATTEL, 2009-2010 web series DOUJINOPOLIS, and collaborations with Youtube Producer DPIDDY. From 2017-2018, he served as Lead Announcer for long-running performance troupe KAIJU BIG BATTEL.
His emceeing background extends back to his high school days running open mics, and he has been emceeing professionally at events across the country since 2009. Highlights include numerous years of hosting at fan events such as ANIME BOSTON and concerts for music artists such as EIR AOI. In addition, he spends much time on promotional event staffing/management for companies such as BANDAI-NAMCO ENTERTAIMENT, CRUNCHYROLL, VIZ MEDIA and PONY CANYON through affiliates such as AMERICAN COSPLAY PARADISE.
In 2010, he became the first male AX Idol Singing Winner at ANIME EXPO, and in 2011 was a Semifinalist in BROADWAY.TV'S NEXT BROADWAY STAR contest. In 2013, he released his first album entitled "(A)RISE" and represented the United States placing in the Top 3 at the WORLD KARAOKE GRAND PRIX COSPLAY sponsored by WORLD COSPLAY SUMMIT and LIVE DAM.
He recently served as a Virtual Panel Host/Moderator for GALAXYCON LIVE and is a Voice Over Artist for SCREEN RANT's YOUTUBE CHANNEL. He juggles this with daily responsibilities running DIGITAL ERA ENTERTAINMENT as well as monitoring+hosting content for the brand's TWITCH CHANNEL.
