Biography:
ALI PROJECT is made up by Arika Takarano (Lyrics and Vocal) and Mikiya Katakura (Composer and Arrangement).
Since 1992, the pair has charmed audiences with their uniqueness. They are known for their one and only original melody and music arrangement as well as poetic lyrics and strong visuals.
ALI PROJECT has contributed their unique sound to many anime titles like Seishoujyo Ryouiki (Domain of the Holy Girls Theme song from Rozen Maiden) and Yushoku Seishunka (Chivalrous Youth Song Theme song from Code Geass).
In addition, they can also be heard performing in the following titles The Girl Who Leapt Through Space, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, .hack// G.U. Returner, .hack//Roots, Avenger, Noir, Marmalade Boy, CLAMP School Detectives, Katanagatari, Wish, and Mai-HiME - Unmei no Keitouju. Beyond performing anime theme songs, the pair release original albums and tour every year.
ALI PROJECT has released an album with only strings and vocals. In 2015, they took part in a strings concert GEKKOU Soerre at Orchard Hall in Japan.
Their latest album is called Kairaku No Susume and features the Anime Opening Theme of Haramitsu Range Paaramitaa Lotus Flower."
ALI PROJECT is a one of a kind duo who takes control of all aspects of their performance including Visual Arts, Art, Design, Costume, and Stage Design in addition to the music. They call themselves "Contemporary Art Music" ALI PROJECT keeps growing and evolving.
