Science Fiction Convention with Fantasy and Horror programming

ConCarolinas cares about your health and safety. With vaccines becoming more widely available, we are very excited for this year's convention. ConCarolinas 2021 will be a hybrid convention, with both virtual and in-person content. Some of our in-person safety measures will include mandatory masks, ConCrud Clear screenings, and there will be plenty of hand sanitizer around. In addition, the Hilton is implementing enhanced cleaning protocols throughout the building.

We are aware of the CDC guideline change that allows fully vaccinated individuals to be inside together without masks. We have a few guest speakers that are unable to be vaccinated for various reasons. Those individuals are coming to ConCarolinas on the condition that we require masks and provide other safety measures such as symptom screening. Also, for several months, we have stated that we will be requiring mask wearing inside the hotel and many attendees have purchased badges because of our stance. We're not going to change it now. We do have some outside activities planned where you can remove your mask, if you are vaccinated. Virtual badges are available if you are not comfortable with the mask requirement.
