Established in 2017, Moncton GeekFest is a comic & gaming convention based in Moncton, NB, Canada. The first convention took place on September 1st, 2018 and brought to the community a new activity that gained media attention throughout Atlantic Canada. With majority positive reviews, GeekFest Moncton became an annual event following the huge success of its first year. The first event, which focused mainly on local celebrities, cosplayers and comic creators, saw over 400 attendees come through its doors. It was said to be one of the best first years compared to other similar conventions in the area. The convention will continue for many foreseeable years.
