In 2004, the folks at Penny Arcade decided they wanted a show exclusively for gaming. Sure, comics, anime, and other nerd hobbies were cool, and each of those activities had their own events, but what about games? From that idea spawned a small, 4,500 person event in Bellevue, Washington which served as a celebration of the culture and community around gaming of all platforms and genres. Since then, the show hasn't looked back as it expanded across the country (and world) bringing the full PAX experience to as many different regions as we can while also spinning up shows that zoom in on specific elements of the gaming industry. But this...this is where it all started. Welcome home.
