Biography:
Craige Els is best known to Doctor Who fans as Karvanista, the Lupari ally of the Doctor throughout Series 13 of the series (the Flux miniseries); he also portrayed Marsissus, the Chief Sea Devil, in "Legend of the Sea Devils" and Dan's friend in the mini-episode "Welcome to the TARDIS". Among his many other roles include appearances on TV in Coronation Street, Sliced, Hailmakers, Law & Order UK, Ripper Street, The Bletchley Circle, and Call the Midwife; in the films RIPD: Rise of the Damned, The Imitation Game, Anna Kareninna and Leave to Remain; on radio in BBC Radio 4's Home Front, Absent and Lennon: A Week in the Life; and many credits on the stage, including several shows at the National Theatre.
