Anime Weekend Atlanta announces first guest and event list for 2009

ATLANTA, GA- June 17, 2009- Fifteen years of anime weekend fun continue this September in Atlanta! ANIME WEEKEND ATLANTA will hold its 15th annual festival of Japanese animation and comics September 18-20 2009 at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Georgia.

What's happening at AWA 2009? Events like the COSTUME CONTEST, the VIDEO ART TRACK, the AETHERIC NAVY GRAND ADMIRAL'S BALL, four dedicated ANIME VIDEO ROOMS, a giant 72,000 square foot hall full of DEALERS AND EXHIBITORS, the IMPERIAL MAID'S CAFE, Famous Dave's Original JAPANESE ANIME HELL, the world premiere of OZONE COMMANDOS: THE MOVIE, YAOI AFTER DARK, IMPROV COMEDY, nightly KARAOKE, the LOLITA FASHION SHOW, the late-night BEBOP LOUNGE, disturbing parody video MIDNITE MADNESS, loud exciting DANCES, panels and workshops on STEAMPUNK, CLASSIC ANIME, COSTUMING, CULTURE, FANDOM, 20 YEARS OF STAR BLAZERS, a giant 36,000 square foot ARTISTS ALLEY and ART SHOW, exciting VIDEO GAMING and RPG GAMING, and the yard-sale extravaganza of SUPERHAPPYFUNSELL - plus much more to come!
